Evidence-Based Public PoliciesAbstract
This article analyzes the Comprehensive Health Care Policies for Women and the Black Population in the municipality of São João da Barra, from 2010 to 2022, focusing on access to health services, education, and chronic disease profile, from an intersectional perspective. Using a literature review and data analysis from sources such as IBGE, the State Secretariat of Rio de Janeiro, and the institutional internal computerization system, the results demonstrate the inefficiency of public health policies aimed at the black population and highlight challenges in access and operationalization, possibly related to the delay in the computerization of local health. It is believed that collecting data on the health of black women can provide an effective dialogue with public policies and, thus, support more equitable public management. The research contributes to the development of evidence-based public policies, aiming at the promotion of more inclusive health.
